The choir, which is formed from members of Bleadon WI, told the story in song of their rather rapid rise from small beginnings in Bleadon Village Hall, to the Royal Albert Hall and the present day. The Belles were led by Choirmaster KingAndrew , and accompanied by pianist Richard Lennox

Fund Raising Suggestions Needed

The Bleadon WI Committee have decided to continue to support The Scanner Appeal. However, we  now need your ideas for fund raising events.  These could be large or small ideas, tea parties, dances, a sing along - whatever you feel would be fun.

Of course all of these ideas will need to be planned and organised so we are also looking for a team of willing volunteers, who will be supported by some of the committee members, who could lend a hand.

If you are awash with fundraising ideas or want to kick start 2017 with a good deed for a really special cause please contact the committee.

Iceland Challenge

The Avon Federation has contacted us with details of a very exiting opportunity for WI Members. To raise money for Denman College you can cycle, trek or horse ride in Iceland in July 2018.

Full details have been sent to members but you need to register you interest by mid-February  if you want to be included
